Wind, and the variety of doors on one field
Downslope wind events along this stretch of the Front Range regularly produce gusts well beyond ordinary design conditions, and hangar doors are the largest moving surface on the building. What we see afterwards is consistent: bottom-rolling doors blown out of their track, sliding-door panels racked out of alignment, bent guides, and bifold doors whose latching and seal hardware has been overloaded. Much of that is preventable with correct latching, wind locks where appropriate, and keeping track and guide hardware in adjustment so a door is not already half-compromised when the wind arrives.
